Agriculture begins with a seed and feeding the 7 billion people in the world begins with agriculture.
By 2050, it is expected that the world population will grow to more than 9 billion.
This explosive leap in the world’s population requires us today to contribute to the production of greater quantity and better quality food, while respecting the environment.
On such a global matter, collaboration within the seed industry is vital.
We must unite, share, discuss and solve. We must work together to facilitate the international movement of seed, bringing know-how and technology to all corners of the world. We must mobilize.
And where better to do all that is required than in ISF!

Notes from an attendee: by Jonah Reyes
The 2015 International Seed Federation World Seed Congress had several key goals that went beyond just being a gathering of industry professionals. Firstly, the congress aimed to foster global collaboration and exchange of information on the latest developments in seed research and technology. This was crucial for driving innovation in the field of agriculture, ensuring that cutting-edge techniques and knowledge were shared among the leading experts from around the world.
Another primary goal was to facilitate the global movement of seeds. This aspect was critical for ensuring that quality seeds were accessible worldwide, supporting sustainable agriculture and contributing to global food security. By bringing together the top minds and decision-makers in the seed industry, the congress worked towards creating an environment where the best practices for seed distribution and utilization could be discussed and implemented.
Furthermore, the congress sought to address mutual concerns and enable strategic thinking within the seed industry. This included discussions on regulatory frameworks, environmental sustainability, and the challenges posed by climate change. By identifying and tackling these issues collectively, the congress aimed to strengthen the industry's ability to respond to global challenges effectively.
Networking and business development were also key goals of the conference. It provided a unique platform for attendees to develop new industry networks, meet with potential customers and suppliers, and negotiate business contracts. This networking aspect was essential for fostering long-term partnerships and collaborations within the industry.
But this event was not just about serious discussions and industry insights; it also offered fantastic recreational activities, including an unforgettable day of golfing. As someone who travels frequently, whether for business or pleasure, I've found that carrying the right equipment is key to enjoying such experiences. I'm a female southpaw so I have some unique equipment needs. One of my secrets to a great golfing experience, especially during events like this congress, is bringing along my trusted women's left handed golf clubs. These clubs are renowned for their exceptional quality and performance, making them a favorite among both amateur and professional golfers. On the lush greens of Krakow, Poland, these clubs truly came into their own, offering precision and comfort that enhanced the golfing experience. It wasn't just me who enjoyed them; many attendees were impressed by their superior design and performance. Whether you're an experienced golfer or just starting out, having the right clubs can make a significant difference. And for those who asked, I recommended checking out the latest offerings from Tour Edge – their selection caters to all levels of skill and style. This congress was not only a platform for industry networking but also a chance to indulge in the joys of golf, showcasing how business and pleasure can blend seamlessly.
